Over all-
Charles is a person that likes to have fights, from fist fights to arguments of the logical and illogical sorts. He thinks a fight is an experience of true freedom. Even though that experience doesn't last forever, Charles believes that this type of experience will lead on to more types of freedoms a person can experience in his or her life time, so if a there's an experience of a fight ensuing, he will participate in it in whatever way he can.
However, though he has this positive outlook on life, he sometimes expresses feelings and thoughts that are sometimes mundane, or every now and again, disheartening. Though, Charles tries not to do so. If he does something to make someone feel upset, he will immediately try to apologize in whatever way he can. If someone, though, takes their freedom and expends it in a way Charles doesn't agree with, he will express disappointment and rage.

Techniques:(Only fill out if your char is a fighter. No more than 5 and you must make up your own and give a brief description of each. OC's are not allowed to start with canon moves except for flight and afterimage) Minimum cooldown between moves: 2 posts
[/li][li] Flight- By use of sending energy into one's feet, the user can fly in the air. If they wish to fly fast, they can increase the amount of energy to enable even faster speeds. The more power used, the faster a person can fly. [No cooldown]
[/li][li] After image- Leave behind an image of self for a brief period of time. Can leave behind up to 2 images at a time. [2 post cooldown]
[/li][li] Raven Swarm- This is a technique that Charles developed in his time of training as a slave at a mine. This technique is what gave Charles the title "Death's Raven". Charles focus energy into both hands constantly, as he scatters explosive energy around a location in the form of yellow and white ravens. The ravens are capable of moving around the area Charles is focused on. Upon a gesture of his hand, he can direct all the 'ravens' towards his target and damage them greatly, if not careful. The 'raven' energy explosives aren't very powerful, but will cause great damage to someone if a person is not careful. Charles can control the direction in which the 'ravens' fly and when they explode, as well. [4 post cooldown]
[/li][li] Ki Blast- The user has learned how to concentrate their energy into a destructive force. It can be repeatedly used to bombard the user's target(s). It is possible to kill someone with a ki blast, given sufficient force. It can also be fired in weak beam-like waves or shock waves. [2 post cooldown]
[/li][li] Death Wave- The user has learned to focus their energy into a powerful wave of destruction. They focus their energy into either a leg or a arm and swing that energy out at their target. The wave doesn't reach far, but it can deal a heavy amount of damage to the unprepared. [3 post cooldown]
History(at least 3 good paragraphs):
What more could a slave want than a simple taste of freedom? If he or she could obtain it in some way, they would leap for it, no questions asked... Or at least, a slave like Charles would.
Before his time as a slave, Charles was the child of a book-savvy martial artist, writer, and philosopher, and a artistic mother. They lived quietly in the woods in the Middle Eastern part of the largest continent. Their daily routine was to study, hunting, fishing, and tending to their vegetable and fruit garden. His parents lived by the the idea, 'Intelligence comes from experience of any kind.'
Charles's father, Edgar, taught Charles how to defend himself and various other things. He would repeat these lessons over and over again until it became almost instinctual to Charles. Cassandra taught Charles some of the key points of perspective and how he should consider someone else's thoughts. However, she didn't stress this as much as Edgar's lessons, so that wound up being forgotten much more often than what Edgar taught.
The family used to live in Satan City, publishing their works for the sake of creating intellectual stimulation, though they did get a large sum of money. Charles was sent to a public school, rather than a prestigious private school. His parents wanted him to meet other people and talk with them. He did, but because he was the new kid, he was teased and bullied by a lot of the other kids. This caused Charles to develop anger and a very, weakened down taste of blood thirst.
Charles would get in a bunch of fights at school with the other students, often being sent to the principal's office and his parents getting called in every now and again. The principal suggested that Charles be put through anger management classes, but both of his parents declined the suggestion, believing it would leave Charles into not experiencing life as it were.
After each meeting, his parents would actually let loose some of their anger on him, but they would make up for it afterwards by going to a library, then to a movie. Then, they would teach Charles a method in which he could be respected by those that teased him, which usually worked out, but not always.
Charles became a friendly, but violent teenager that entered High School when their parents decided to move into the forests North East of Satan City. Why they did this is still a mystery to Charles, but the one time he asked, his father said 2 words, which were 'Red Blood'. They still continued Charles's education at the High School, but had him take paths that were rather secretive.
The teenager never understood what he meant by this until a couple months after his 16th birthday. A group of mercenaries broke into their home and knocked out the whole family. When they woke up, they were in a mine somewhere in a canyon ridge. Charles and his father were immediately ordered to work. Charles shouted in outrage, but was quieted by his father, who was whipped in Charles's place. The boy was angry, but they began to hoist out minerals in carts in a cavern.
Edgar, Charles's father, told Charles that the group with a sub branch of an incredibly powerful organization that sought world domination and that they came to Edgar for funding and possibly hand to hand combat training. Edgar, at first, was alright with this. They told Edgar, when they met, that they were a jewelry company that provided rare and expensive rocks to some top of the line Jewelers and even brought him and his wife to one of their sites, falsely showing empathy and mercy to tired 'workers'.
But one day, Edgar was called while having lunch with Cassandra at their previous residence in the city. The voice on the other line was unfamiliar to him, but it was a rough, powerful man's voice. He stated who he was and that he and his funds were no longer needed for their side projects. The phone hung up immediately, leaving Edgar puzzled. A couple days after the call, Edgar was assaulted by the men that visited him before. They were aiming to take his life, but Edgar fended them off and quickly arrange for the family's move to the forest, without anyone knowing. It seemed that they were alright at first, but the current problem they were having said otherwise.
This boiled Charles's blood tremendously. He felt like killing everyone affiliated with the bastards that did this to him, in which his father told him to hold those feelings back. Edgar told Charles that he would teach him a couple of special tricks whenever they were given the opportunity alone. Charles had asked about his mother's whereabouts, but Edgar didn't know.
With rage building him, Charles painstakingly took the pain dealt to him and learned as much as he could. The first thing Edgar began teach Charles was the ability to form a ball of energy in his hand. Every night, when Charles and his father would put into their cell, Edgar would immediately form a tiny ball of energy in his hands. He explained the experience as the energy flowing from a point of his choosing, through his arm, and into his hand. The specific thought he told Charles was that energy flows like a river of water and diverts into different directions. What needed to happen was for Charles to direct that flow of energy by will power.
Each night, they did this until Charles could practically form a ball of energy the size of a soft ball naturally. It took about 2 months of this training for Charles to learn it. However, it wasn't even close to the end of his training. The next lesson was the ability to fly. Charles laughed at this idea quietly, but when his father began to levitate, cross legged, he immediately silenced himself. Edgar explained this ability as something similar to forming energy into his hand, but rather than having it flow and form outside the body, have it match the amount of pull of gravity Earth has.
This ability seemed impossible to accomplish, considering how Edgar explained this, but the ability was a lot faster to pick up on, compared to forming energy blasts. It took Charles about 2 weeks to achieve the ability. During the 1st week of April, the week just after he learned how to fly, Charles and Edgar managed to find Cassandra, along with a bunch of other woman. They had been brought out to greet a very special guest of the Red Blood soldiers. The leader of the main branch the Red Blood group was part of had been visiting the mining site, to see how it been doing thus far.
The leader looked at the line of women, looking them over as he evaluated their appearance. He stopped at Charles's mother and circled her, like a hungry hound. A perverse grin had formed on his rough face. He wrapped his arms around her, telling the soldiers to have some fun with the others as he walked off with Cassandra disgustingly.
Charles was about form an energy ball in his hands and throw at the man when Edgar vanished without a word. He reappeared next to the leader, a glare in his eyes that made even Cassandra shiver directed at the man. Edgar formed an energy ball in his hand dashed at the man. The leader had no time to react and was sent into a mine cart, his face scorched and bleeding.
Edgar grabbed Cassandra with one arm and quickly burst towards Charles. He grabbed Charles with the other and threw him up into the air. He quickly told Charles to start flying, in which he did. The three quickly flew out of the canyon, avoiding the incoming gun fire. Charles had never seen his father get that angry before, but he liked seeing it, oddly. It showed him that Edgar was the one whom he got his anger from and that he wasn't the only angry one in the family.
They flew non stop through the desert until they reached the outskirts of Satan City by night fall. They quickly landed, worn out from exhausting so much energy. However, they were happy to be free again. They were beaten, spat on, and whipped constantly. They were going to have to hide for a while, until they knew they were off the Red Blood's radar.
Charles, though, wasn't satisfied yet. He wanted to make the Red Blood organization pay. Charles spent the next 2 years, studying and training on his own time. During this time, Charles created a few tricks of his own with the knowledge he gained from his father. The first thing he managed to achieve was to create afterimages of himself by forcing himself to adjust to hundreds of pounds that he strapped to himself. The next one was a sort of powered up version of the average ki blast. Instead of firing out a simple beam or ball of energy, Charles learned to form the energy into one of his limbs and send out a deadly wave of energy that enabled him to cut without a blade. It was similar to a sword slash, but the slash would be able to travel a few yards before disappearing.
The final one, which he developed a little after his 18th birthday, was the Raven Swarm ability. Charles had begun to travel on his own, to hunt down the Red Blood organization and their respective branches. He would make them suffer for the damage they had done by whatever means necessary, even if it meant having to kill them at one point.
Charles developed connections in various cities around the world, as he hunted down these men. These were people that had the similar goal to his own and vowed to assist any who were put through this process into the same hell they experienced. They named their organization The Flock. Charles became their leader and eventually situated himself near the mountains North of West City. He would visit the cities to meet with old friends and make up for old times that he had with friends. However, he would also devote some of his time to meeting with some members of the Flock, to gather information of Red Blood locations, along with locations of other branches.[/size]

It was the middle of the night. The scent of blood and sweat was permeating in a dark room with no light shining inside, aside from the moon light and a faint yellow one inside. Tables, chairs, and various other objects were smashed to pieces; the walls smashed in, revealing the inside of the walls. Rats were scurrying across the ground, searching for some food.
The moon light shined down on a man in a chair, dressed in now ragged and blood stained clothes. Across from him, sat the young man, Charles. He was sitting cross legged, as he cradled a small, iridescent yellow raven in his hand. The room had been partially lit by a flock of these birds, each one a different size than the other. Charles was remaining quiet, as he watched with cold, steely eyes.
The man in the chair was called Doctor Van Schneider. He had been a metal and biological scientist that was hired by the Red Blood organization 8 years ago to work on creating nano machinery, so that they could repair organs. The research was a good willed one, but the way the Doctor experimented was inhumane, as one of the Flock described it. He gave Charles a file, which held photos and notes, describing the experiments in whole.
"Doctor, doctor, doctor," Charles muttered finally, breaking the silence.
"You had to be this type of person, hadn't you," Charles asked rhetorically. Van looked at Charles and spat blood next to his feet.
"That is vat I was told to accomplish, so I aimed to accomplish it by any means necessary," the doctor responded groggily. He coughed a little, then spat at the ground again.
Charles leaned forward, stating, "A well accomplished man will indeed push the limits of his fellow, if it means progress will be born... This is something I do agree with, but if those boundaries are breached, then it is up to his fellow man to teach the man of his place in the world."
The doctor looked at him through swollen eyes and asked, "So you do the job that vhich God is supposed to command? Such idiocy!"
Charles brought his chair close, letting the raven flutter and join its flock. He went up to the doctor and smacked him across the face. He pointed at the whining man, stating, "You are foolish man! A scientist, such as yourself, cannot actually create good, if the knowledge that he uses is born from pain that he causes on his own accord!"
"That is a lie! It is through great pain and suffering in vhich knowledge is born from! Var is the clearest example of such knowledge," the scientist retaliated, spitting in Charles's face.
Charles wiped the blood from his face and grabbed the man by his collar. He roared, "The knowledge that is born from pain, especially war, leads to even greater pains that people shall experience in their lives and their children's lives and so forth, until life is nothing but pain and suffering! That is the true end result of War! War creates the instruments of terror that prevent us from obtaining true happiness!"
The young man got out of his seat and walked away from the man, trying to keep calm. The ravens stared boldly at Schneider, some flying over to him and landing on his shoulder. Schneider cringed in fear, praying the birds didn't explode upon him. However, they didn't. They simply waited for their master to command them.
The scientist asked in a frightened tone, "V-vat are you going to-"
"Nothing... Nothing except one of two things: Leave you or Kill you," Charles interrupted, as he pointed at Van from the darkest spot in the room. This caused Van to panic. He began shout for mercy and wanting to live. He also made a vouch to never perform the crude experiments he did in the past.
Charles rushed up to him and glared him in the eyes. He asked him, "Are you sure that's what you want, Doctor Van Schneider?? Life? Life like the ones who begged, just like the ones you didn't show to your 'patients'?!"
"Oh God, don't kill me! Please! Please!"
He began to weep, thinking the possibility of death would become a reality. Charles, though, was smirking, as he had a different plan in mind. Charles gestured his hand towards the window, causing the birds break through and enter the night sky. They looked like golden dust in the sky, sprinkling the heavens with golden stars. Once they reached up high above the land, they ignited, exploding like fireworks in the sky.
The scientist screamed in terror, thinking the birds were going to peck him to death. However, it didn't happen. Charles grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil from the counter and wrote something down on it. Afterwards, he quickly loosened the frightened man's bonds and flew out the window. He could hear the screaming of the scientist from the other side of the island.
Charles landed on the beach, where an old man and a young woman, dressed in simple clothing, awaited with a boat. The woman looked at Charles and quickly asked, "Is it done?"
Charles nodded silently. The old timer asked in rhetoric tone, "Then the man is dead?"
"No... I let him live."
"I see... What will happen then?"
Charles brought his hand to his chin and scratched it. He stated, "Schneider will continue his research into Nano reconstruction, I suppose. However, he will be more careful about how he goes about his experiments. If we catch wind of his terrible experiments being continued... Well, I left a note fore him explaining that."
"A note? What did you write," the woman asked.
Charles hopped on the boat, not looking at her or the old man. He exclaimed, "The wings of Death's Raven will flutter and carry you to the Gates of Purgatory... Now lets get a move on. We've got dinner back at West City with the others soon."
